Hello, I’m looking forward to moving to somewhere in Brazil for at least 3 months. I currently live in Argentina, in the province of Misiones. I have a university technical degree as a park ranger and some experience in that field in Misiones, I am also an agent in preservation and inspection of the native forest and an honorary wildlife ranger.
For family reasons, especially the fact of choosing to parent in the presence of my daughter, who is currently 9 years old, I decided to stay in Misiones.
I always wanted to travel. Living in Brazil is a dream that I long to fulfill and I think it is time. Staying in Misiones has been a limitation in getting a job as a park ranger or similar, as I have experience in audiovisual media and photography, at the end of the year I will receive a technical degree in that area, I worked quite a bit in that field. Last year, in a series of misfortunes, my editing computer burned down. Not having much savings or a way to quickly decide to buy another one, I decided to look for a job doing anything, I was unemployed for two weeks until I got a job as a waiter in a restaurant, where I also work in delivery with my motorcycle. After that the place closed, I spent about two weeks again looking for another job and in May of this year I started working as a delivery worker for a lunch and dinner establishment, a job that I continue to do. At the same time, I do some extra work in my audiovisual field but the truth is that they are few, with both jobs I don’t have much left over at the end of the month. Even so, with a small saving, together with a social organization for which I generate audiovisual content, plus a contribution from my dear mother, I managed to buy a laptop so I could resume more audiovisual post-production work. I don’t have a lot of equipment but the basics to make a simple audiovisual production, such as content for social networks or some documentary format, are not essential to have a lot of equipment to develop an interesting project.
Not a minor fact, I am 34 years old, I don’t get along very well with my daughter’s mother and sharing a daughter in common means that we have to be in contact all the time, it is a bond that I have not yet been able to overcome 100%, a relationship 10 years old with practically 9 years of cohabitation. I am very responsible and active in raising my daughter but I am not happy and I am tired of living with just enough and I feel that in Argentina in the short term it is difficult for there to be improvements for people who are in the precarious situation that I find myself in. . I have the active monotax which I don’t know if it’s of any use to me, but I got it so I could invoice and that’s the only reason I keep it.
I feel that the time to try in Brazil is now, I would like to be able to work for a while in Brazil, to be able to return to Argentina from time to time to be with my daughter and well, as I experiment, it will surely take shape, that’s why I don’t want to stay in the idea. Another fact is that my blood family, my parents who are still alive are in Buenos Aires, then I have two brothers in Córdoba and two more also in Buenos Aires. In 2012 I came to live in Misiones and since that moment I have not lived anywhere else. My family prefers that I stay in Argentina, go to Buenos Aires, but I want to experience in another country, study as a park ranger to apply that knowledge in other countries, be able to travel and work in that field, since in many countries there is no academic training for said work.
My idea is to go in February, continue working until December, in January travel to Buenos Aires to visit my family and then go to Brazil. If I can between now and the date of travel I would like to get a job there and go do something and if that doesn’t work out, I will go look in the place I choose to live. I have friends and acquaintances who left and they are all fine, I don’t know if they want to return to Argentina.
I don’t know if this is the right place to post. Any assertive opinion and similar travel experience is useful to me, thank you for taking the time to read these lines, I wish you an excellent life experience. Greetings from the northeast of Argentina.
