Last night, Hailey Bieber hosted her first big Rhode event since welcoming her and husband Justin Bieber’s first child, Jack, in late August. At the Beverly Hills dinner, Hailey stood out in a suit. After, she posted a mirror selfie, showing off a form-fitting crop top and hotpants. “Night,” she captioned the photo with sparkles and angel wing emojis.
Hailey celebrated Rhode’s new Barrier Butter balm launch during the gathering, which Kylie and Kendall Jenner attended.
Ahead of the product’s October 28 launch, Hailey spoke to ELLE.com about what inspired her to create the moisturizing balm. “If you were to ever look back on skin care or ‘get ready with me’ videos I’ve done, I’ve talked a lot about sealing things in underneath my makeup with a balm, or swapping out my moisturizer for a richer, thicker, balmier moisturizer. This is my version of that,” she said.
Rhode’s Barrier Butter was in development for two years. “I wanted it to be a rich, nourishing, and hydrating balm, without it feeling greasy,” she said. “I wanted it to be safe for acne-prone skin and be really good for fine lines and plumping and hydrating the skin. So it took me a lot longer to approve this product, but we totally got there in the end.”
She also touched on her biggest highlight of the year—one that has nothing to do with work. “Welcoming my son into the world has obviously changed my whole life,” she said. “That has been the best part of the year for sure.”
The Rhode Barrier Butter will be available to shop on rhodeskin.com on October 28.
