Lately, I’ve found myself reaching for the same two tubes to create my signature look. Even on special occasions, I’ve relied on a steady pairing that brings the drama and doesn’t budge. You may have a special blend of your own. However, if your routine needs a refresh, these combos are sure to give your lashes a lift.
Naturally Defined
This combination is great for everyday wear, whether you’re rocking no makeup or a lightweight look. It starts with the Grande Cosmetics seemingly simple Conditioning Peptide Mascara ($25). The classic brush style glides through the lashes easily and coats each with a nourishing blend of peptides and vitamin B5 to condition and strengthen. The formula is the star here, and if you’re using it daily, you’ll notice some improvement in the overall appearance of your lashes. Lush Extensions
Mascara cocktailing typically begins with a fluffy brush and finishes with a bristled comb-like brush to separate the lashes. This combination flips the technique, focusing on the different mascara formulas instead. The Hourglass Unlocked Mascara ($32) is formulated with lightweight fibers that adhere to your lashes, adding length and definition. Coating your lashes with a layer of NARS Climax ($25) adds volume and amps up the intensity. The combination delivers the best of these two iconic tubes and creates a lush look that rivals falsies and extensions.

Don’t be fooled by the similar wands of these mascaras. Aside from the tapered, conical style and being a drugstore find, the two couldn’t be more different. The Essence Lash Princess ($5) features more of a traditional brush with bristles that coat the lashes with lengthening formula. The pointed tip helps reach the corners but can get a little messy. That’s where L’Oréal’s Panorama ($13) comes in. The plastic bristles grip the tiniest lashes, like the ones in the corner and on the lower lash line, to help each stand out. The result? Extreme length across the full lash line and a sultry fanned-out shape.

Colorscience’s latest launch has everything you’d want from a daily mascara. Total Lash ($59) lengthens, defines and volumizes. It’s also packed with a potent lash serum for nourishment and growth. On its own, the mascara is a powerhouse, but pairing it with Refy’s Sculpting Mascara ($26) takes your lashes to another level. The curved brush gives your lashes a lift right at the base, while the comb separates the hairs and ensures that your lashes are evenly coated from root to tip.
